Gojiberry vs Expandi: an AI agent on intent signals vs the widest campaign builder (2026)
By the ZenMode team · Pricing and features verified September 5, 2026 · Updated
Quick answer
Both drive your LinkedIn account from the vendor's servers through a proxy. Gojiberry is an AI agent: it finds prospects from job changes, engagement and competitor signals, writes the messages and sends on LinkedIn and email, for $99 a month with two LinkedIn seats. Expandi is a campaign builder: one $99 plan per LinkedIn account with every feature on, eleven campaign types by its own count and email steps in the same sequence. Pick Gojiberry if you want prospecting done for you; pick Expandi if you want to design the sequences yourself. Gojiberry facts checked 5 September 2026, Expandi facts 3 September 2026.
Who each tool is for
Gojiberry positions itself as an AI GTM team: "Automation tools execute your outbound. Gojiberry helps run it." Its agents detect buying and social signals, build lookalike audiences, score prospects against your ICP and contact the warmest first on LinkedIn and email. The standard plan targets "founders and operators running their own outbound".
Expandi is a Dutch cloud platform run by LeadExpress B.V., selling one plan with everything switched on: "we have one base plan of 99 USD which includes all features." Its strength is breadth of campaign types, ten enumerated in its help centre plus email steps and if/then branching in one builder. You decide who to contact and how; Expandi executes.
What Gojiberry's intent layer does
Expandi has no equivalent. Gojiberry's privacy policy lists the activity it processes to find leads: "job changes, likes, comments, event registrations"; its product pages add competitor engagement, lookalike audiences, ICP filtering and lead scoring, and a Signal Agent runs continuously. The help centre's first check for an empty lead list is that "you have selected at least one active intent signal". No count of signal types is published as of 5 September 2026. Expandi starts from your search URL or list and its inbound campaign type, which targets people who engaged with a post you choose.
Architecture: where your LinkedIn session lives
Neither runs on your machine. Gojiberry's agents prospect 24/7 and its safety article says "Your LinkedIn session is accessed through a proxy in the same region you log in from." Expandi lists "Cloud-based software" as a plan feature and says "Everyone in Expandi gets their personal dedicated IP address", an IP its help centre says "is provided by a data center".
On the login, Gojiberry offers three routes in its step-by-step guide: a Credentials Login with your LinkedIn email and password, where it states "We never store your LinkedIn password", an Infinite Login, and a Chrome extension that copies session cookie data "without entering any username, password and 2fa codes". Its troubleshooting page suggests temporarily disabling two-factor authentication if the credentials route gets stuck. Expandi's account-connection articles sat behind a login when we checked on 3 September 2026, with indexed excerpts describing entering your LinkedIn email and password, and its readable two-factor article says that with authenticator-app verification "the PIN is entered automatically".
Where your tool runs is the trade-off covered in our guide to cloud vs desktop LinkedIn automation.

Safety controls, in each vendor's own words
Gojiberry: "the risk is very low if best practices are followed", and in the same article, "like any automation tool, there is always some level of risk". Its safety limits article notes LinkedIn does "not publish official fixed numbers" and sets weekly quotas per sender. Expandi: no tool is exempt because LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits automated access, as it says on compliance; its terms place the consequence on you: "The use of Expandi is solely a risk taken by the user." Expandi hands you the daily dials with an optional Safe Preset (daily limits); Gojiberry sets recommended weekly quotas you can raise.
Where ZenMode fits
Both tools hold a live session on your LinkedIn account and send through an IP they supply, one via a location-matched proxy, the other via a datacenter IP. ZenMode runs on your own machine, signed into LinkedIn the way you already are, from your own IP, and nothing is sent until you approve it. It has no signal engine, no email channel and no eleven campaign types, and your computer has to be on while it runs. Read it as a Gojiberry alternative or an Expandi alternative, or see what ZenMode does.
Verdict
- Choose Gojiberry if you want prospects surfaced from buying signals and contacted for you on LinkedIn and email, and two seats are enough.
- Choose Expandi if you want to build the sequences yourself with the widest set of campaign types, email steps and native CRM syncs, one plan per account.
- Consider a desktop tool if the architecture is what bothers you: a third party holding your session and sending through a proxy.
FAQ
Does Gojiberry or Expandi need my LinkedIn password?
Gojiberry offers a cookie-based Chrome extension route that avoids entering a password or 2FA code, alongside a credentials login. Expandi's indexed help excerpts describe entering your LinkedIn email and password, with Google or Apple sign-in as alternatives; its connection articles returned HTTP 401 to us on 3 September 2026.
Which is cheaper?
Both list $99 a month. Gojiberry's covers two LinkedIn seats, two agents, email sending and enrichment; Expandi's covers one LinkedIn account with every feature, $79 on annual billing. Beyond that, Gojiberry adds $59 per extra agent and $29 per extra lead source; Expandi adds a second $99 plan per extra account.
Can either tool send email?
Both can. Gojiberry sends email from the same agent with waterfall enrichment across 15+ providers. Expandi treats email as a step in the sequence builder and ships a native Smartlead connector.
