Expandi review (2026): features, pricing, limitations and who it suits
By Jonathan Lis, Founder, ZenMode Ltd · Prices read from Expandi's pricing page on 30 October 2026 · Updated
We make ZenMode, which competes with Expandi. Every price on this page links to the page we read it on, and every criticism is a quoted, dated public review or a fact you can check on Expandi's own site.
Our verdict: Expandi is one of the most complete LinkedIn campaign builders, worth its price if you will use the branching, InMail and email steps; if you mainly want people found, messages written and replies in one inbox for less per account, ZenMode is the simpler fit.
Quick answer
Expandi is a cloud tool that runs LinkedIn and email sequences from one drag-and-drop builder, at $99 a month per LinkedIn account (or $79 a month billed annually). It suits growth teams and agencies that want many campaign types, branching and InMail in one place. Reviewers praise its depth and criticise inconsistent support and campaigns that stall.
What Expandi is
Expandi is a cloud-based LinkedIn outreach platform. Its pricing page lists "Cloud-based software" and a "Dedicated country-based IP-address" as part of every plan, so campaigns run on Expandi's servers rather than in your browser (Expandi pricing, read 30 October 2026). You connect a LinkedIn account by entering its email address and password in Expandi, according to its help centre.
It sells one main plan, Business, plus an Agency plan for teams that resell outreach under their own brand.
What Expandi does well
- A deep campaign builder. Expandi's builder chains connection requests, follow-ups, profile visits, post likes, endorsements, free Open InMail, paid InMail and email in one sequence, with if/then conditions on what each lead does. Few tools in this category offer as many step types.
- Many campaign types. The pricing page lists "10 Campaign Types", from Connector and Mobile Connector to Recovery campaigns, plus group, event and inbound (profile viewer) campaigns.
- LinkedIn and email in one flow. "You can send connection requests, messages, and email follow-ups in just one sequence," the pricing page says.
- Campaign prioritisation and unlimited campaigns. Both are on the Business plan.
- Agency features. Roles and permissions for co-workers and clients, and white label on the Agency plan.
- Native CRM sync. HubSpot, Pipedrive and Salesforce are documented as built-in integrations (Expandi help centre).
Expandi pricing (read 30 October 2026)
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business | $99 per month | $79 per month | One LinkedIn account; 7-day free trial |
| Agency | Not listed as a fixed price | White label, for teams running clients | |
| Image and GIF personalisation | Paid add-on | "This service requires an additional cost to your existing subscription." |
Source: expandi.io/pricing, read 30 October 2026. The page says "Start your 7-day Free trial today" and "Switch to annual to get 2 months free". Expandi's terms say subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by law (Expandi terms).
The price is per LinkedIn account, so a team of five pays five subscriptions.
Who Expandi suits
- Growth teams and agencies that will actually use branching sequences, InMail and email steps in the same campaign.
- People who want everything hosted, with campaigns that keep running on Expandi's servers.
- Agencies that need client workspaces, roles and white label.
It suits less well a solo founder who wants a short sequence and a tidy inbox, because most of what the $99 buys is builder depth.
Limitations: what public reviews say
Expandi's public ratings are positive overall: 4.5 / 5 from 234 reviews (Trustpilot, as of 24 September 2026). The criticisms below are individual reviewers' opinions, quoted as written, not findings we have verified.
Campaigns that stop and support that cannot fix them. A CMO wrote on Capterra: "The campaign just gets stuck and does not work, the support can't help" (Capterra reviews of Expandi, read 3 September 2026). Another Capterra reviewer, also a CMO, wrote: "I've spent too much time communicating with support in both situations and 0 results".
Lost work. A sales enablement consultant on Capterra wrote that "it deleted 60% of my work and there's no way to bring it back" (same page, read 3 September 2026). Expandi does sell a Recovery campaign for "accidentally deleted campaigns", which suggests the problem is known.
Billing after the trial. A CEO on Capterra wrote: "After free trial, the keep charging 99USD every month even if you do not use" (same page). Expandi's trial converts to a paid plan unless you cancel, and its terms make fees non-refundable.
Support quality, in both directions. On Trustpilot, a 1-star review dated 25 August 2026 reads: "UK Customer, awful service, cannot get anyone competent to help. Find alternatives!" (read 3 September 2026). Other reviewers say the opposite: a partner on Capterra called it "15 stars! Best customer support in the space!" Support seems inconsistent rather than uniformly poor.
Facts you can check yourself: the counts of actions and conditions differ between Expandi's own pages, and voice notes are not among the builder actions its help centre lists.

When ZenMode is the better choice
ZenMode is the better choice if you want LinkedIn outreach that finds the right people from a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search, writes the messages, and keeps every reply in one inbox, and you would rather not build and maintain branching sequences. It costs less per LinkedIn account once you run more than one (three accounts for $99 a month), and an AI assistant such as Claude can create and pause campaigns over MCP on paid plans above Novice.
Stay with Expandi if you need email steps, InMail, group or event campaigns, or white label for clients: ZenMode does not do email, and its sequences are deliberately shorter. Our Expandi alternative page goes through the switch in more detail.
FAQ
Is Expandi worth it in 2026?
Expandi is worth it if you will use its campaign builder: branching sequences, InMail, email steps and many campaign types for $99 a month per LinkedIn account, or $79 billed annually (read 30 October 2026). If you mostly send a connection note and a few follow-ups, you are paying for depth you will not use.
How much does Expandi cost?
Expandi's Business plan was $99 per month, or $79 per month billed annually, per LinkedIn account when we read its pricing page on 30 October 2026, with a 7-day free trial. Image and GIF personalisation is a paid add-on, and the Agency plan has no fixed listed price.
Does Expandi offer refunds?
Expandi's terms of service say subscription fees are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise. Its 7-day trial turns into a paid plan unless you cancel before it ends.
What is the best Expandi alternative?
It depends on why you are leaving. For a simpler LinkedIn-only tool that writes the messages and covers several accounts on one plan, ZenMode is built for that. For an equally deep cloud builder, HeyReach and Dripify are the closest like-for-like options.
