PhantomBuster review (2026): features, pricing, limitations and who it suits
By Jonathan Lis, Founder, ZenMode Ltd · Prices read from PhantomBuster's pricing page on 30 October 2026 · Updated
We make ZenMode, which competes with PhantomBuster. Every price on this page links to the page we read it on, and every criticism is a quoted, dated public review or a fact you can check on PhantomBuster's own site.
Our verdict: PhantomBuster is the most flexible tool here for scraping and enriching lead data across sites; if your goal is LinkedIn conversations rather than data workflows, ZenMode is simpler and cheaper.
Quick answer
PhantomBuster is a cloud platform of ready-made automations (Phantoms) and workflows that extract, enrich and act on data from LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and 15+ other sites. It costs €69, €159 or €439 a month on monthly billing, metered by automation slots and monthly execution time. It suits growth teams and operators who build lead lists; reviewers criticise reliability and support.
What PhantomBuster is
PhantomBuster is a cloud automation and data extraction platform. Its building blocks are "Phantoms", single automations such as exporting a LinkedIn search or visiting profiles, which you chain into workflows. It covers LinkedIn and Sales Navigator plus more than 15 other platforms, and it runs in the cloud: "Once a Phantom or Workflow is launched, it continues running even if your browser is closed," its pricing FAQ says (PhantomBuster pricing, read 30 October 2026).
What PhantomBuster does well
- Data extraction and enrichment. Exporting searches, profiles, post engagers and more, with profile and email enrichment, across many sites.
- Flexibility. "100+ automations & workflows" you can combine and schedule, with daily and scheduled auto-refresh.
- LinkedIn outreach campaigns and lead warming on every plan, with multiple LinkedIn accounts connected.
- AI filtering and writing, metered by AI credits.
- An MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants, on every plan including the trial.
- Unlimited users on every plan, so a team does not pay per seat.
- A 14-day free trial with no credit card.

The meter matters: execution time "is consumed while Phantoms are actively working", and when it runs out "Your automations will pause until your execution time resets or you upgrade your plan." There are no automatic overage charges.
Who PhantomBuster suits
- Growth marketers and sales operations teams who build and enrich lead lists from LinkedIn and other sites.
- Technical users comfortable chaining automations into workflows and watching usage meters.
- Teams that feed other tools, such as a CRM, a sequencer or an AI assistant, with data.
Limitations: what public reviews say
PhantomBuster's Trustpilot rating is 3.3 / 5 from 113 reviews (Trustpilot, as of 24 September 2026), the lowest of the Trustpilot scores we quote. The quotes below are individual opinions, quoted as written with their original spelling; we have not verified them.
Reliability. A 1-star review dated 8 June 2026 says: "The Phantoms beark all the time and the tool is super buggy." (Trustpilot reviews of PhantomBuster, read 30 October 2026).
Support. A 1-star Trustpilot review dated May 2026 says: "Their chat support hallucinate all teh time and agents promise you an easy fix that never arrives".
Data quality. A 3-star Trustpilot review dated July 2026 says: "The companies it scraped had no connection to the company required."
In fairness, recent 5-star Trustpilot reviews praise the same flexibility. One dated 20 October 2026 says "they were the only platform that could actually do what I wanted."
Facts you can check yourself: prices are in euros, the page defaults to annual billing, and automations pause when monthly execution time runs out.

When ZenMode is the better choice
ZenMode is the better choice if what you want from LinkedIn is conversations and meetings, not datasets. It finds the people from a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search, writes the messages, and brings every reply into one inbox, for a flat price with nothing to meter: $49 a month with AI message writing, or three LinkedIn accounts for $99.
Stay with PhantomBuster if you need to extract and enrich data from LinkedIn and other platforms, or to build custom workflows that feed other tools. ZenMode does not do that. Our PhantomBuster alternative page covers switching in more detail.
FAQ
Is PhantomBuster worth it?
For teams that build and enrich lead lists across LinkedIn and other sites, yes: few tools are as flexible. For LinkedIn outreach alone, its slots and execution-time meters make it more complicated and more expensive than a dedicated outreach tool.
How much does PhantomBuster cost?
On 30 October 2026 PhantomBuster listed Start at €69, Grow at €159 and Scale at €439 a month on monthly billing, or €56, €128 and €352 a month billed annually. A 14-day trial is free with no credit card.
What happens when PhantomBuster's execution time runs out?
Your automations pause until the execution time resets or you upgrade. PhantomBuster says no overage charges are applied automatically.
What is a good PhantomBuster alternative?
For LinkedIn outreach with AI-written messages and one inbox, ZenMode. If you mainly need data extraction and enrichment, stay with PhantomBuster: that is what it is built for.
