Most restrictions are not mysterious. LinkedIn publishes the categories itself: under account restrictions it lists content, profile, identity and automated-tools violations. It is blunt about the last one, saying it does not allow third-party software or browser extensions that "scrape, modify the appearance of, or automate activity on LinkedIn's website." We would rather quote that than talk around it. Everything on this hub is about understanding and reducing the risk you carry, not pretending the rule is not there.

Invitation restrictions are a separate thing, and the one outreach people actually hit. LinkedIn names the triggers plainly: sending many invitations in a short time, and having many invitations ignored, left pending, or marked as spam by recipients. It says most invitation restrictions lift automatically within a week, and that withdrawing pending invitations will not remove one. The fix is upstream — better targeting and slower pacing, not cleanup after the fact.
