Choose Novice if you have one LinkedIn sending account, can run your outreach in three campaigns and want to use your own message templates. Choose Practitioner if you need more campaigns or a specific upgrade feature: AI writing, AI-suggested replies, voice-note follow-ups, Sales Navigator support or developer access. Both plans cover one LinkedIn account, so upgrading between them does not add a second sender. ZenMode’s plan comparison sets out those differences.
Choose by the capability you actually need
The plan details below are from ZenMode’s monthly pricing and feature list. Count the campaigns you need to run, then identify any feature you cannot do without; a feature that merely sounds useful is not yet a reason to upgrade.
As checked October 14, 2026, Novice is US$15 per month and Practitioner is US$49 per month, each billed monthly—a US$34 monthly difference. If neither campaign capacity nor a Practitioner-only capability changes your workflow, keep that difference rather than paying for unused options.
| Requirement | Novice | Practitioner |
|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn accounts | One | One |
| Campaign capacity | Three campaigns | Unlimited campaigns |
| Messages and replies | Own templates; no AI | AI messages and follow-ups; AI-suggested replies |
| Shared outreach basics | Automated follow-ups, unified inbox and campaign analytics | Automated follow-ups, unified inbox and campaign analytics |
| Voice-note follow-ups | Not included | Included; requires your ElevenLabs key |
| Sales Navigator search URL as a campaign audience | Not listed for Novice | Sales Navigator support |
| Developer access | No plan-level API access | REST API and MCP access |
Apply the choice to your sending workflow
Hypothetical choice A: a solo sender has one LinkedIn account, two campaigns planned and messages they have already written as templates. Their required capacity and message method fit Novice, so Novice is the practical starting choice. Automated follow-ups, an inbox and campaign analytics do not, by themselves, require Practitioner: ZenMode lists them on Novice too.
Hypothetical choice B: the same sender still has only two campaigns but now needs to turn a Sales Navigator search URL into a campaign audience. Choose Practitioner for that requirement, not for campaign count. ZenMode describes importing the search URL and resolving contacts to standard LinkedIn profiles before action. The sender should still inspect whether the resulting audience fits their intended prospects. If building the search is the unresolved task, use the Sales Navigator prospect-list guide rather than choosing an outreach plan first.
Other upgrade reasons have prerequisites. ZenMode places voice notes in follow-up steps and requires a user-supplied ElevenLabs API key; the plan price does not bundle that voice provider’s usage. Its Practitioner-and-above REST API queues LinkedIn actions for the desktop app and can send signed webhooks when tasks finish or a lead replies. If your only requirement is a CRM connection or an outbound automation-platform webhook, check that integration separately: ZenMode lists several such connections on all plans, unlike its REST API.
Test the deciding requirement before paying
Practitioner comes with a 14-day free trial; Novice has no trial and starts the day you pay. Use the trial to check the workflow that determined your choice, rather than trying every feature. ZenMode sends only while its desktop app (Mac or Windows) is open, so plan your test for hours when you can keep it running.
- For Novice, which has no trial, map your intended audiences to campaigns before you pay and confirm that three campaigns accommodate them, and that your own templates cover the messages you plan to send.
- For a Sales Navigator-driven upgrade, bring a search URL you intend to use, import it as an audience and inspect the resolved profiles before deciding it fits.
- For an AI-driven upgrade, try the message-writing or suggested-reply function you expect to use and decide whether its output saves you meaningful work after your own review.
- For voice, have your own ElevenLabs key ready and test a follow-up step. For an API-driven workflow, check that queued actions and the resulting webhook events meet your integration requirement while the desktop app is available.
Make the account-risk decision separately
Neither plan removes the account risk of automated LinkedIn outreach. ZenMode’s getting-started guide says LinkedIn can restrict any account that automates. If that risk is unacceptable for your sole sending account, neither Novice nor Practitioner is the right answer; send manually instead. If you accept the risk, buy for the capability you will use—not on the assumption that a higher-priced tier lowers that risk.
