ZenMode is the answer to that case: a desktop app that drives a browser on your own computer, on your own IP, with no proxy of any kind, on flat plans from $15 to $299 a month with a 14-day trial. Who each tool is for
Botdog describes itself as LinkedIn automation with no distractions: "No multichannel distractions. Just dedicated expertise in LinkedIn, the platform that matters most to your pipeline." Its homepage lists the product in four words, "Cloud-based: Botdog works even when you're away from your keyboard", and promises that "most users get set up in under 5 minutes, including total beginners". It is built for salespeople, recruiters and founders who want invitations and follow-ups going out on a schedule without a computer to keep on, and for teams that want to "multiply your outreach or delegate your activity, without sharing logins".
ZenMode is also LinkedIn only, and also sells connection campaigns, follow-ups, voice notes and a unified inbox. The difference is a single design decision: it is a desktop app that runs on your own machine, signed into LinkedIn the way you already are, sending from the IP address you already use. It is built for people who agree with Botdog about the channel and disagree about where the automation should live.
Architecture: where your LinkedIn session lives
This is the decisive section, because the two tools are otherwise closer than most pairs on this site.
Botdog runs your campaigns from its own infrastructure. That is the feature, in its own words: cloud-based, working while you are away from your keyboard, with nothing to install. Its comparison post on ZenMode makes the same point from the other side, that with Botdog "campaigns continue 24/7 whether your computer is on or off". On the pages we checked (home, pricing, FAQ and terms) Botdog does not describe how it holds the LinkedIn session or which IP the activity comes from, so we do not speculate; what its pages establish is that the activity on your account originates on Botdog's side, not on your device.
ZenMode does the opposite and has nothing to hold. The desktop app opens a browser on your computer, you sign in yourself, and every action comes from that browser on your own connection. There is no proxy of any kind, ever: not a dedicated proxy per account, not a residential IP, not a server of ours between the browser and LinkedIn. If you have read elsewhere that ZenMode assigns a proxy per account, that is not how it works and never has been. The cost of that design is the one Botdog's post names correctly: the computer has to be on while campaigns run. Botdog charges per LinkedIn account and shows three billing periods on its pricing page. ZenMode charges a flat price per plan, with the number of LinkedIn accounts fixed by the tier.

Botdog's quarterly price is labelled a 10% discount and the annual price a 30% discount on its pricing page. The like-for-like cost depends on how many accounts you run: one account on Botdog Starter billed annually is $48 a month against ZenMode Practitioner at $49 with AI included; five accounts on Botdog Starter is $345 a month billed monthly, or $240 annually, against ZenMode Dojo at $149.
The refund guarantee, and what the terms say
Botdog's blog leads with a guarantee. Its ZenMode comparison says Botdog "backs safety claims with a full refund guarantee" and, later on the same page, promises "a full refund of everything you've paid if your account gets suspended as a result of using Botdog".
Three other Botdog pages qualify that promise. The pricing page FAQ answers the refund question directly: "While we don't offer refunds, you can cancel your subscription at any time and your service will continue until the end of your billing period." The terms of service, last updated December 2024, say "All fees are non-refundable except as required by law" and that "Refund exceptions, when granted at our sole discretion, are capped at 50% of the amount paid", citing per-account charges for each connected LinkedIn account as the reason. The same terms move the safety risk to you if you touch the limits: "If you increase activity beyond Botdog's default settings, you assume full responsibility for any resulting LinkedIn account restrictions, flags, or bans", and the liability clause excludes "any account restrictions, flags, suspensions, or bans imposed by LinkedIn resulting from your use of activity settings above Botdog's default safe limits".
Read together: the guarantee lives on the blog, the exclusions live in the terms, and the terms are the document you agree to. If the guarantee matters to your decision, get it in writing from Botdog before you rely on it.
ZenMode makes no refund promise about suspensions and would rather not need one. The trial is 14 days before you pay, monthly plans cancel at any time from the dashboard, and the daily ceilings are not a setting you can raise past the limit for your account's tier and age.

Safety controls, in each vendor's own words
Botdog's FAQ: "We respect LinkedIn's daily limits and use smart delays between actions to mimic human behavior." Its terms add that Botdog "applies default safety settings to activity limits to reduce the risk of LinkedIn flagging or restricting your account. You may choose to adjust these limits." Botdog also publishes its own detection-rate and ban figures; we do not repeat vendor-authored safety statistics, Botdog's or our own, because they cannot be checked from outside.
ZenMode: the daily limit is derived from the account's LinkedIn tier and age, enforced per account and per campaign, and cannot be exceeded by the user. New accounts warm up before the first request, pacing is human-shaped, and stale invitations are withdrawn automatically so the pending count never balloons. Track record
Botdog's homepage says "5,000+ professionals across 31 countries run outbound through Botdog" and its FAQ says it has "been operating safely since 2020". It is the older and larger product, and nothing on this page argues otherwise.
ZenMode is younger and says so. As of September 2026 the counter on our homepage reads 550 signups across 54 countries; it has moved every month since launch, so a lower figure quoted elsewhere is an earlier snapshot of the same number. Trustpilot reviews are linked from the homepage, and the founder's own account is the one the product was built to protect.

- Choose Botdog if campaigns must keep running while your computer is off, you want a campaign live in five minutes with nothing installed, or you import leads from events, post engagement or Recruiter.
- Choose ZenMode if the LinkedIn session and the IP address have to stay yours, you want a ceiling on daily activity that nobody can raise, you want to approve each message before it sends, or you run several accounts and would rather pay one flat price.
- Either way, read Botdog's terms before you rely on its refund guarantee, and expect to keep a machine on if you choose ZenMode.
